INTERNSHIP/STAGE – ECORYS Brussels Research Team

PROFILE

• Student in an agricultural universities or college (high school)
• Specialisation in agricultural economics, rural development or related subjects;
• An excellent level of written and spoken English developed through an extended period of study or work experience in an English-speaking environment;
• A good knowledge and understanding of the functioning of EU institutions and EU policies;
• Strong analytical and data manipulation skills; knowledge /interest in evaluation and impact assessment methodologies;
• Confidence and expertise with quantitative research, including familiarity with large data sets;
• A curious mind.

SUBJECTS

ECORYS Brussels is offering internships to support the implementation of several studies implemented for the European Commission (DG AGRI and DG SANTE). The student will join an international team and will carry out desk research and analysis within different projects, including for example:

1. A synthesis of Rural Development Programmes (RDP) ex-post evaluations of period 2007-2013
2. An evaluation of the EU legislation related to pesticide
3. An analysis of the administrative burden arising from the CAP
4. A study on crisis prevention and crisis management in the agricultural sector

CONDITIONS

• Start date: From January 2018 onwards;
• Indicative remuneration: € 900 net, per month;
• Duration: The duration of the internship is foreseen from 4 to 8 months.
