Development engineer
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Development Architect you will help build the market position of PerPetum by creating the overall technical and commercial feasibility of the projects to develop, with the ultimate goal to establish a prospect/opportunity towards a feasible “Good to Develop” status.
More specifically:
- You are part of the Business development team and you report to the Development Director;
- You work within a highly competent team in a motivating collaborative spirit and you are supported by an internal engineering and financial department;
- You work directly with all the project developers on a variety of prospects and client needs and coordinate all technical, commercial and feasibility aspects;
- You provide leadership to the team throughout the project (from scratch to financial close);
- You provide recommendations and roadmaps for proposed solutions in the commercial/negotiating phase, resulting in high quality technical proposals;
- You take care of follow-up and screening of the feasibility for wind and PV projects: land zoning, biodiversity, site surveys, geo-technical tests, indicative scoping and costing, grid scoping and costing, drone topography, … ;
- You establish all permitting and conduct a financial viability check together with the Project Finance Specialist;
- You further maintain strong and respectful relationships with external stakeholders;
- You manage the departmental knowledge center;
- The geographical scope is Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France, and business travelling is part of the job, on an occasional basis.
Your Skills, Qualifications and Competencies
- You obtained a Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field;
- You can rely on minimum 5 years of experience working in a technical support role with a wide range of multi-technology expertise;
- You have strong computer skills (MS Office and ERP-systems);
- Also strong project management skills and experience with budgeting and cost analysis are a must-have;
- You have a strong ability or experience to work within the public sector (permits, subsidies, deliverables);
- You communicate efficiently in several languages (Dutch-English or French-English).
